Indyme Solutions, in collaboration with the White Ladder design team, has unveiled a sleek new line of shopper communication solutions for the North American retail market. Designed for virtually any retail environment, this newest line of shopper “call box” solutions will constitute Indyme’s core retail product offering starting in 2009.
The CB480 shopper call box, the first in the new “Radius” line of customer and employee communication solutions, is designed to be placed throughout the store, and will instantly communicate a shopper’s request for assistance with the press of a button.
According to White Ladder, the new CB480 was designed with both the shopper and the retailer in mind. “Looking at the Indyme’s previous line of products, it was clear there was room for improvement,” said Todd Wente, White Ladder’s senior designer on the project. “We immediately began focusing on the key needs of the shopper, and were able to quickly define their primary expectations - high visibility, ease of use, and visual or audio confirmation that assistance was on the way.”
From there, the team then listened to their retail customers.
“Key to the retailers was flexibility of placement, which meant both wall and countertop scenarios, and the need for easy integration into their existing communication network,” said Wente. “We took this all to heart from the very beginning.”
The result was a completely new product line for one the world’s most well established retail communication solution providers. The new call box design featured a large, highly visible button with the option of in-set digital signage, a two-part housing that allowed orientation in both wall and countertop configuration, light and audio confirmation of store assistance, and large areas for custom overlays for the retailers.
“Our retail customers have been demanding Indyme to develop a series of communication solutions that reflect modern ergonomic design, that seamlessly integrate with their store WiFi network, and deliver diversity within their store applications,” said Tony Wyatt, Indyme Solutions’ Vice President of Sales. “By leveraging White Ladder’s design expertise Indyme was able to meet that demand. We’re very pleased to offer the CB480 call box as the first in a new line of customer and employee communication solutions that truly meet our customers’ objectives.”
According to Wyatt, Indyme’s new line of call boxes offers retailers a very convenient means of fulfilling their customers’ in-store assistance needs. At the same time, it provides the retail market an attractive, cost-effective and easily configured communications technology that helps retailers establish shopper loyalty while reinforcing a customer-centric shopping environment.
Indyme’s CEO, Steve Deal, agrees. “Retailers that we have introduced this product to say they like the aesthetics of the product,” said Deal. “And the ability to customize the appearance of the unit seems to very popular among various-size retailers.”
The new CB480 call box is already causing a stir among retailers. According to Indyme, requests and orders for the new product are already coming in, including a chain-wide rollout of the new product in the world’s largest retailer, Wal-Mart, beginning in 2009.
